A reclusive alien war veteran with sharp fangs and a questionable amount of alien blood stored in his fridge lives alone in a dusty mansion on the edge of town. Although he is a grumpy and intimidating figure, whom everyone else avoids, his gorgeous, molten gaze and deep, luscious voice captivate the narrator. The narrator is the only one the alien has ever spoken to and is fascinated by him, wanting to know him better. It turns out the sullen "vampire" alien enjoys donuts, so the narrator decides to deliver pastries from their small-town bakery to his property, hoping to draw him out of his isolation. However, the narrator's car breaks down, leaving them stranded overnight with the angry alien in his spooky mansion. Despite the alien's insistence that it's "not safe" for the narrator to be near him, the narrator believes there may be more to the situation than meets the eye. The story then transitions to a collection of nine standalone steamy romance stories, all centered around the theme of being "Marooned for a Night" with various hot, possessive men, including shifters, cowboys, and vampires. The anthology, written by best-selling authors Hope Ford, Olivia T. Turner, and Michele Mills, promises a snowstorm that has never been so steamy.
